Diving Giraffes

 

we were learning to write in good detail because Mrs Hall showed us a video of diving giraffes and we could work with  partner and I choose Shannon and we had to use good onomatopoeia alliteration good verbs and adjectives and make sure our writing is level three.

I found it easy to work with shannon because we have the same kind of our ideas and we always work rally well together and i found it easy to use good level three writing 

I found it hard to think of good ways to describes how the giraffes move and acted.

Fireworks Poem

 

We were learning to use onomatopoeia in our writing to describe what the sounds were we were also writing about fireworks to use onomatopoeia in our writing .

I found this easy because I have seen lots of firework shows so it was easy to picture them so I could add more description to my writing. 

I found this hard because I didn't know how to capture the art that is fireworks in my writing.

Next time I need to think about what I am adding to the page so that it makes sense. 

I was a whaiwhakaro/thinker because I thought about the vocabulary in my writing. 

The Kiwatross

We were learning about the history of New zealand and we were aloud to make a creature that looked like it was once alive and I chose to mix a kiwa  an albatross and a rainbow and once we had done our animal we had to right a blurb about the animal that we made.

I found it easy to make the animale  and find the right colors use  I found this easy because I had an image of what the animal would look like so that made it easy to make and shape this animal.

I found it hard to write a lot about the animal because I had an idea about what the animal would  look like I hadn't thought about what it would eat or wear it would live and that is how I found it hard.

 

I really enjoyed making the gradient to put on its body. I really enjoyed this because it was just playing around with color and I love playing around with color .

Next time I need to write. more and go into more description about the animal and try to use better vocabulary in my writing.   

 

           

 

change

We were learning about what change is and how people and life has changed to adapt to life's changes and how change that has gone before us made our lives better. 

I  found it easy to wright good words to represent change I found this easy because Mrs Hall,gave us a warm up to help us with some  words and that helped me alot so thank you Mrs Hall.

I found it hard to find  good images to represent I found this hard because no one else had to do this because my letter were acting up so I had to mac the slid ,minny and put in images to fill the space. 

I really enjoyed learning about chang and how change is all around us and it is happening every day. How the past change has had a big impact on our life and that was what I really enjoyed.

Next time I need to magne my time afetifly and try and complete the task in the time given and I need to find more better words to describe change.

what causes earthquakes

 

We were learning how to do explanation writing.explanation writing.  Is here you explain something to your reader in  a clear and bright and clever way.We had a choice on what we explain there was a list that we could choose from there was hepes of opshois like the life cycle of a frog or how are caves are formed the list goes on I chose how earthquakes are caused look at my DLO to see how earthquakes a caused. 

I found it easy to get shapes that are good for what I was representing.It was easy to write the information it was easy because from our planning that we did  I had already written a lot of information. Also what was easy about this is how I can use word art to make my writing better. 

In the beginning  I found it hard to  find four steps to complete this DLO so I had to break up one of the steps so I had enuf. It also was hard to do the audio recording because I didn't want to disrupt the other kids and when I did do it the teacher started to talk in a broad way.

I really enjoyed learning what causes earthquakes because it was really interesting and I learnt a lot about what causes earthquakes and how to do explanation writing.   

Next time I need to put in a background so I can make my DLO more interesting I could also do this next time put in more audio so I can help my reader more.

I was a researcher to de a researcher I had to chose the right resource for the information needed.    

    

the day that went wrong

 

we were learning how to do create writing we had to write about inclusions gone wrong.I found  it easy to find a good thing to write about. I found it hard to put what I had in my mind to achly make it into a story. Next time I need to try and find better ways to write.
